Lost but not forgotten.
After the deaths of Chadwick Boseman Cliff Robinson and Lute Olson the NBA held a special tribute in their honor. Before Orlando Magic took on the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday, August 29, the league shared each star's career highlights, their impact, and their eternal legacies.
"Today the NBA family mourned Cliff Robinson. Robinson helped lead the Portland Trail Blazers to two NBA finals in the early 1990s," a spokesman said in a video that SportsCenter posted on Twitter. "His 18-year career included an all-star appearance at the 1993 NBA Sixth Man of the Year Awards."
On Saturday morning, August 29th, Robinson's death was reported. However, it is currently unknown what caused Robinson's death and when he died. He was 53 years old.
After admiring Robinson, the announcer paid tribute to Olson, who was head basketball coach of the men's team at the University of Arizona for 25 years. He was also inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2002.
