Marshawn Lynch will officially be back on the soccer field. He and the Seattle Seahawks have just signed a contract that will have him back on their roster.
According to Sports Illustrated, the news comes from Marshawn and the Seahawks reunification after the news circulated that they were open to the reunion and that Marshawn had planned to meet with the team on Monday and also to make an appointment.
His agent Doug Hendrickson tweeted about the moment and said, "My son @MoneyLynch is back! Boom, let's go! “News of his deal with the team comes after two of Seattle's running backs were recently injured.
This is Marshawn's second retirement. From 2010 to 2015 he played with the Seahawks and won a Super Bowl with them in 2014. He later retired after the 2015 season, but applied for reinstatement in 2017.
The Seahawks traded him for the Oakland Raiders where he played two seasons, but he retired after the 2018 season.
In addition to reinstating Marshawn, the Seahawks also hired Robert Turbin, who played the NFL's first three years on the team.
And what are Marshawn Lynch's feet like at the age of 33? Nice that you asked. pic.twitter.com/fI3sQQc5VD[19459002[19459001[—TomPelissero(@TomPelissero)24December2019
