Since Jill Duggar and her husband Derick left Dillard Counting On (TLC is said to have released him two years ago after a homophobic Twitter rant for reasons of solidarity), there have been rumors that Jill and Derick had a big argument with their parents Jim Bob and Michelle. Now Dillard has made some incredible claims on social media about his parents-in-law, and he says that he and his wife cannot be at home with Jim Bob and Michelle without the permission of the Duggar patriarch.
Dillard recently posted some pictures of his family on Instagram that were celebrated during the holidays and wished his 743,000 followers a Merry Christmas. However, the post became a question and answer session with fans when they started asking questions about his time regarding Counting On and Jill's relationship with her parents.
The question and answer session began when a fan asked where Derick, Jill and their two sons Israel and Samuel were celebrating Christmas. The law student from the University of Arkansas said his family had a little Christmas party and some international friends joined them.
A fan then asked if Derick and Jill would ever go to their parents' house and, oddly enough, replied that they were no longer at 19 Kids & Counting. A fan quickly pointed out that TLC canceled this show years ago, but replied that the network simply renamed the show to Counting On.
Another fan noticed that Jim Bob and Michelle were preparing for the show again, so Jill and Derick should also be able to join the cast. Derick said that Jim Bob and Michelle are back at Counting On because it's their show and he and Jill only have guest appearances for big family events.
Derick has insisted over the years that TLC did not fire him, and this answer implied that he was sticking to this story. Then Derick wrote that he and Jill never had a contract with TLC and they didn't know that Jim Bob and Michelle had one.
When a fan asked if there were “hard feelings” between him and his in-laws, Derick said no and then wrote: “There are only more things that we are now aware of. The truth will always set you free. "
Derick said that he had never spoken about his parents-in-law, he simply answered questions so that people would no longer be deceived as he and his wife were.
“For a long time, Jill and I had the impression that the family did not make any money from the show, but that it was presented to us as something that the TLC occasionally did as a service, subsidized in the form of [of] Refunds for things like gasoline, restaurants, travel, etc. … but no actual payment beyond that, ”Dillard wrote.
Then Derick revealed that it is difficult to spend time with Jill's side of the family because they "mustn't be home when JB isn't around".
"Jill even had to ask JB for permission to go to the house to help her sister when she was at work because her sister wanted her help, but Jill couldn't help until we got to JB clarified. " Dillard claimed.
Derick Dillard also told fans that Jim Bob and Michelle made everyone believe that they had no choice when it came to performing at Counting On and that they would be charged if they refused. However, when he and Jill Duggar became enlightened, they found that they could easily defend themselves against a family lawsuit or against TLC.
New episodes of Counting On Air Tuesday night on TLC.
