Amazon is a company known to many as one of the largest online retailers in the world. While they sell their own hardware, they are usually in the form of tablets or e-readers. However, it seems that Amazon decided to dive into the world of wearables, as they have since announced the Halo Band.
As you can see in the picture, due to the lack of a smartwatch, the Halo Band is a screen. It's more like a fitness band that can track your health and fitness-related activities thanks to multiple built-in sensors. That includes an accelerometer, temperature sensor, heart rate monitor, and a couple of microphones that you can use to talk to Alexa, Amazon's digital assistant, and the app and new service called Halo come into play. Halo is a subscription service priced at $ 3.99 per month and gives users access to features such as body scanning, as well as the ability to measure your emotional state throughout the day by asking you to speak to it, to analyze the tone of your voice.
This sounds like pretty interesting features, and if you're interested, the Halo Band is $ 99.99. Amazon is launching the Halo Band as part of an early-access invitation-only program where those who are invited can purchase the device at an introductory price of $ 64.99, which also includes six months of free access to the Halo service from Amazon.
