India's largest integrated telecommunications company, Airtel, has just announced that it is launching the country's first Voice over Wi-Fi service. The company calls it Airtel Wi-Fi Calling. It is available in Delhi NCR and is gradually being introduced nationwide.
Voice over Wi-Fi has existed in the US for many years. Sprint offered the service in 2014, and the other major airlines followed shortly thereafter.
Wi-Fi calls are so handy that users can make and receive calls over Wi-Fi even when they are not on the phone. & # 39; I have no signal. And unlike services like Skype, FaceTime or Duo, Wi-Fi calls let you use your existing phone number without having to download a separate app.
